Sera Ulger for Malibu!

I haven't blogged in a while, apologies for that. I'll fill you in on everything that's been going on in my life in my next post. For now, I want to let you all know about a new, exciting collaboration between Malibu and Printed textile designer Sera Ulger. Having already had her designs sold in Topshop, JCrew and ASOS, Ulger is now jumping onto the advertising/branding bandwagon(LOL) creating a limited edition bottle and capsule collection of printed garments/accessories for the popular drinks company Malibu.

The collaboration uses Sera's unique prints on a limited edition Malibu bottle which is set to be on the shelves just in time for Summer. I, for one, think it's amazing when large companies like Malibu promote young British designers through their branding, it's a great way of showing support for emerging talent, which Sera seems to have in abundance. What better way to celebrate the summer than sitting in the sun sipping a malibu pina colada with a backdrop of dulcet reggae songs....hmm hmmm hmmmm....yes please!

Not only have Malibu collaborated with Sera on the limited edition bottle, they have also commissioned a capsule collection of swimsuits, dresses, snapbacks and cocktail glasses, basically the essential toolkit to get your summer started!

I genuinely love the bikini that's featured in the above photograph- so colourful! The high waisted pin up girl style bottoms are also perfect if, like me, genetics have meant that you carry all your weight on your hips.

Below is a video detailing Sera's design inspiration for this collaboration:

Generally swigging alcohol from the bottle is frowned upon, but this collaboration has transformed the Malibu bottle into an on trend printed fashion accessory..... which means it's okay right? Now you can fashionably drink from the bottle! If that doesn't sound like you're and you prefer a cocktail I've added a photo of the ingredients for one of my favourite cocktails. So "if you like Pina Coladas"(....and getting caught in the rain) grab a bottle of Malibu and start getting ready for Summer!

Well it's a nice sunny evening and all this talk of alcohol has made me thirsty...so I'm off to the pub...I intend on doing a few more posts for you this week as penance for my recent slacking x
